Creative Writing
I hope you enjoy a few of my own stories, these are quirky snapshots of my life at various stages. I plan to be living and writing even more.
The Audition
On a Friday night in the early 80’s, in early December, it was painfully cold and I was cranky. I had a long week of second grade and just wanted to stay home. “We got tickets on sale and Flo says this is the best show she’s ever seen!”
Waving at Cornfields
My ninth grade English teacher sized up that year's collection of prose essays. The winning three would be published in the yearbook and I was desperate for mine to be one of them.
Third Daughter
Anyone who doesn't think a four year old has the capacity for deep emotions is wrong. The first time I felt true sadness was in 1977.
